European Union delegation visits OU Hyderabad, Feb 9 (INN): In connection with the Pan European Programme for academic and research exchange, a twelve member European Union delegation visited Osmania University today and interacted with the Vice- Chancellor Prof. S. Ramachandram.
The delegation consisted of representatives of various European nations including UK. The main purpose of the delegation's visit was to increase cooperation between European Union and India. The delegation explained to OU Vice- Chancellor that a number of opportunities are available under 'Horizon 2020' and students of Osmania University can use these opportunities to improve their academic and research capabilities. The members of the delegation made it clear that research and innovation is a priority on European Union's academic agenda and students from India can explore the possibilities to the optimum.
The Vice-Chancellor promised the delegation of full support from Osmania University.
The delegation comprised of Stephan Lanzinger from the Embassy of Germany, New Delhi, Tania Friederichs from European Union to India, New Delhi, Dr. Jerome Bove from Embassy of France in India, Bangalore, Massimo Spadoni from Embassy of Italy in New Delhi, Christoph Meyenburg from Austrian Embassy, New Delhi, Kaur-Pedersen Sune from Royal Embassy of Denmark, New Delhi, Adrian Gutierrez Arboles from Embassy of Spain, New Delhi.
OU Registrar Prof. Ch. Gopal Reddy, Director, UFRO Prof. G.B. Reddy, Joint Director, UFRO Dr. Rajashekar were also present.
