AP Janmabhoomi begins transforming lives To provide a quality and relevant education in today's world, many schools are planned to digitalize through AP Janmabhoomi project. AP Janmabhoomi is an initiative of Andhra Pradesh Government Special Representative for North America, Jayram Komati, with a moto to facilitate various public works that benefit the community.
Till today, 301 schools in Andhra Pradesh have been digitalized through this project with the help of 4.5 crores funding raised from the Telugu NRI community. One of the school that have been recently digitalized is the R.P. Peta School at kancharapalem. Being in the locality of Visakhapatnam, the school was digitalized last month.
G.V.Ramana, the head master and other staff in the school are happy with the process. Teachers and students in the school find the new environment amazing and they are pulling up the socks to brush up the basics of computer and soft wares. The volunteers and interns of the AP Janmabhoomi project also conducted practical sessions to teachers about effective usage of computers. Also the interns also explained about the digitalization of administrative systems of schools through computers.
The three projects of AP Janmabhoomi initiative are
1. Digitisation of Schools - For empowering children through Education
2. Anganwadi centres - For strengthening the sustenance of rural woman
3. Construction of crematoriums.
The government would provide 70% of the fund while the NRI would donate 30% of the total cost. The Government has invited NRIs to donate and connect to their hometowns and villages.
