Metro Rail Medical Emergency Services Hyderabad, March 10 (INN): If there is a medical emergency while travelling in Metro train, the Train Operator can be contacted by any passenger by pressing Passenger Emergency Alarm, informed HMRL Managing Director NVS Reddy.
Then the Train Operator will advise the next station (which will be just a minute or two away) staff to assist the passenger needing medical attention by providing First Aid & also arranging ambulance for shifting the passenger to the nearest hospital.
All the Hyderabad Metro trains are equipped with First Aid Kits in both the driver cabins i.e., in the end cabins. When ambulance is called to the next station, train will be stopped at that station for a longer time, till the patient is safely disembarked from the train. All stations are equipped with First Aid Rooms which have stretchers, wheelchairs, fire blankets, white bed sheets and First Aid Box, he added.
