Namaskarams to all Telugu people.
I am a software professional, from Kurnool and currently working in IBM at Bangalore.
As I was supposed to go onsite to Sweden, I got little worried if I can survive with my un-compromising vegetarianism in that part of Europe. Though I have stayed for 5 months in Vienna, Austria earlier, the feeling was that I am going to face problems with food. I have searched on this site for fellow Telugu people in that part of the world. To my luck, I found a family of Sri. Mudigonda Rao garu and Smt. Vimala garu. I wrote them about my feelings and fears. They assured me of a pleasant onsite stay with their company.
I have reached Stockholm and have contacted them on phone. To my wonder, the family was so helpful that I bet even in our very own towns I cannot find such hospitality. I am moved by the way they received me and helped me for my stay. Though they are settled in Stockholm 20 years back, I appreciate their understanding on how a new comer to their place would feel and what can be of help to him/ her.
It was an excellent family with whom I could spend 4 days in Stockholm and proceeded for my destination Östersund, Sweden. They were kind enough to help me in providing the kitchen utensils and provisions (as I could not carry them from India).
I felt very happy and proud to be a ‘Telugu vadu’ after seeing their family. Each of their family members can speak at least 3 European languages besides Telugu and English. I could taste different food varieties from Smt. Vimala whom we all know as a ‘Kitchen Guru’ on this site during my stay. I felt like I came to my home away from my home in India. I pray god to give them more energy to help people like me. I wish the family a great joy and happiness.
