We were doing a project for a Government department in 2005. As a part of the project we had to collect maps from another department. 2 of our colleagues went to the said department to collect the maps. The map sales fellow (head) was very head strong(As he was a Bihari guy). When one of my colleague talked to him about some information, he without any reason ill-treated by scolding him for asking the info. The poor guy (colleague) came back to office & was looking dull. When I asked about the matter, he told me. The next day also he had to go to the same dept, he was not ready to go, because of that fellow. My boss asked me to go along with another colleague. When I went he also treated me in the same way. He did’nt provided me maps. Instead he wasted my time. I was very determined to get data in any way. I went the next day. He did the same thing and he was giving maps to other people, but not to me because I went 10 min late. I took a decision to teach him a lesson. I asked him whether he is providing me maps or not. He simply said in hindi that “Main nahin doonga, kya ukaadloge, o ukadlo”. I also said “ Main kya ukadtha hun, Ukadke dikhaunga”. By saying this, I went to his Boss and told him of the scenario. He came along with us to ask him. He did not hear his words too. He also was so disgusted about fellow because lot of complaints have come against him. He was looking for a chance. He said that nobody had given a written complaint against him. He asked me whether I am ready to give a complaint. I said if action would be taken, I will definitely do. I gave a written complaint. He kept a box for complaints. After sometime when I asked that fellow again, he was so furious that, he started scolding me. I thought only of one thing, i.e teaching him a lesson, “ I went to the HOD (Head of the department) and told him of the scenario. He simply called him and blasted him such a way that I got the maps. After a few days , when the same colleague (who was scolded) went there, he was informed that he has been demoted and sent to other department. That day I saw a glow in his face and said that It was because of you, a good thing happened. When I did that I thought of only one thing “ Manam tippalu padinatu vere vaalu kuda padakudadu ani” When my boss came to know about this he gave me a compliment by saying “ Nuvvu velledi pani cheyinchukodanikaa leka Job teeyinchadanika ani”. From that day he stopped sending me over there by saying, “nuvelthe udyogalu pothayi baabu velaku ani”. Andari kosam okka manchi pani cheste choosara compliment. Even today I do not regret for what I had done. So friends tell me your frank opinion on this, am I right in teaching him a lesson or not? Bye sada
