| |
The Great Social Reformer of Rajaram Mohan Roy had came here to Bristol, England as a cultural envoy between India and England on 1833 and died here after few days of his arrivel. His Statue was subsequently installed in front of the Council House on College Green, aligned with the statue of Queen Victoria in front of the Swallow Royal Hotel. The statue is 8.5 feet high, made of bronze and weighs approximately 900 kg. I felt proudly after visiting his statue in Bristol of England.
