Rural Public Schools
What about Urban Public Schools?
With the current system of education the school going children are deprived of the following:
Proximity to their house
Homely food
More time to study and play
Uniform schedules for exams, vacations, etc
Uniform syllabus so that even if the child shifts his residence he can continue his studies anywhere in the country.
Our system of education defies commonsense!! This statement best defines our current education system.
Many adults in this country must have studied in a school that is proximate to their homes and used to come for lunch.
Many of us (adults now) must have had schools that actually look like schools with play ground etc.
May of us are not subjected to scorching sun and dangerous traffic pollution to reach school and to return home.
With the development in the industry, the education system has become too complex.
Village boy is deprived of CBSE or such other so called elite syllabus. We have successfully institutionalized class system in the education system itself.
Now lets think about Rural Public Schools.
I feel that Rural Public Schools are not the single answer to the above issues raised. They would infact, if implemented, would add to this current complexity.
