Healthcare sector in Telangana is sick: TPCC Hyderabad, Feb 6 (INN): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Vice-President Dr. Mallu Ravi on Monday demanded independent probe into the deaths of several patients in public hospitals in Hyderabad during the last one week.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here, Dr. Mallu Ravi alleged that several people died in Osmania General Hospital, Niloufer and Gandhi Hospitals primarily due to the negligence of authorities. He said about six deaths were reported in Niloufer Hospital due to non-availability of required medicines. He said that the State Government should order a probe into all the deaths took place in the recent past and take stern action if anyone is found guilty of medical negligence.
Dr. Mallu Ravi alleged that the entire medical sector in Telangana State was sick. He said there was a large scale corruption in Medical and Health Department and no importance was being given to public health.
