KCR acting like a dictator: BJP Hyderabad, April 29 (INN): BJP floor leader in Assembly G. Kishan Reddy has alleged that TRS Government was suppressing the rights of opposition parties by preventing them from participating in debates on major issues.
Speaking to media persons in Assembly premises on Saturday, Kishan Reddy said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was misusing his party's strength in Assembly to suppress opposition. He said BJP members were suspended from the House for opposing 12% Muslim reservation. However, he said the same suspension was preventing them from taking part in discussion on a major subject like Land Acquisition Bill. He said that the Chief Minister should have consulted the opposition parties on proposed amendments in the Bill. He said that the BJP MLAs would reach the Assembly on Sunday after paying tributes to Telangana Martyrs at Gun Park. Since they are facing suspension, he said that the BJP MLAs would remain in Assembly premises, but not enter the House. He accused KCR of acting like a dictator.
The BJP leader also condemned KCR for not speaking in the centenary celebrations of Osmania University. He said KCR also prevented Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan and Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatraya from addressing the event. He said it was highly regrettable that the Governor, who is also the Chancellor of OU, was not allowed to speak during Centenary celebrations.
