Three Maoists killed in encounter Adilabad, June 19 (INN): Three suspected Maoists were killed on Sunday in an encounter with security forces at Venkatapur area on Maharashtra-Telangana border, police said.
The incident took place in the early hours when a group of Maoists opened fire on a police patrol party from the C-60 squad in Aheri taluka near Adilabad, sources said. The security forces retaliated, killing three of them. The bodies have been recovered from the spot. An AK-47 gun, revolutionary literature was also recovered from the encounter site.
The deceased Maoists were identified as Dinesh, Mukhesh and Adilabad division commander Shoban.
