APTA free medical camp in Adilabad
American Progressive Telugu Association (APTA) with the help of 'Janamaithri Police' is conducting a free medical camp in Telangana on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi birth anniversary on 2nd October. The camp will begin at 8am and will continue till 4pm at the Zilla Parishat high school, in Rajura village, Khanapur mandal, Adilabad. Poor villagers and tribals will be greatly benefited through this camp, said APTA President Gopala Krishna Gudapati.
Noted doctors Dr.Venugopal, Dr.Krishnam Raju, Dr.Rama Krishna along with twenty other doctors will participate in the camp. Free medicines will be distributed to the patients along with health checkup. Free food and transport services will also be provided to the villagers.
"This is the first that a huge medical camp like this is being organised in such a remote place. Arrangements are made to treat 2000 patients. APTA will conduct more camps like this in the future" said its President Gopala Krishna.
APTA medical assistance programme Chair Dr.Kumar Kottapalli planned this mega event and Vice Chair Dr.Surya is distributing the medicines. Shantinikethan foundation which is being run under the guidance of NRI Janardhan Pannela is making necessary arrangements to conduct the camp. Local MLA Rekha Shyam will attend as chief guest. APTA vice President Subramanyam requested the people of Adilabad to utilize this opportunity to the maximum and make the event successful.
