TRS Govt not serious on public issues: Congress Hyderabad, January 19 (INN): The Congress leaders on Thursday said that the TRS Government has failed to offer solutions to major problems being faced by people in just concluded Winter Session of Telangana State Legislature.
Speaking to media persons separately, Congress MLA D.K. Aruna said that the winter session has brought disappointment to the common people as the State Government did not offer any solutions to the existing problems. Instead, she alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao wasted time by coming up with statements on issues which were listed on the agenda. She accused the Chief Minister of ignoring the suggestions given by opposition parties due to his arrogance of power. She slammed the government for not announcing complete waiver of crop loan dues. She also raised suspicion of State Government of honouring March 31 deadline to clear Fee Reimbursement dues.
Meanwhile, Deputy CLP leader T. Jeevan Reddy alleged that the State Government was adopting a wrong route to provide 12% Muslim reservation. He feared that the move of passing a resolution in Assembly might damage the cause of Muslim quota. He also informed that he had written a letter to the Chief Minister welcoming the decision to provide job to the children of Singreni Collieries. However, he said that the job should be provided to a member of the family one year before the retirement of his/her parent. Further, he said that the minimum age limit should be increased to 40 years.
In another press conference, MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy demanded a high-level probe into the allegations of a scam in Godavari Drinking Water project.
