CPI reiterates demand for CBI probe Hyderabad, Feb 5 (INN): CPI leader Dr. K. Narayana on Sunday reiterated the demand for CBI enquiry into the cases pertaining to slained gangster Nayeem.
Speaking to media persons here, Narayana informed that he had written a letter to DGP Anurag Sharma requesting him to make public the names of police officials who allegedly had links with the gangster. He said Nayeem was involved in serious offences like murder, rapes and kidnapping and the SIT report on his activities and his nexus with police officials and politicians should be submitted in the court at the earliest.
The CPI leader also alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was using Nayeem's case to influence upon his political opponents. He said that the entire network of Nayeem and hig gang needs to be exposed and it was possible only through CBI enquiry.
Stating that several pictures of police officials with Nayeem have recently surfaced in the social media, he said he would approach the court with the latest evidence to seek CBI enquiry.
