Man slits throat in police station Warangal, Oct 8 (INN): In a shocking incident, the husband of a woman accused of theft, attempted suicide by slitting his throat inside a police station in the presence of his family in Warangal district on Friday. According to Hanumakonda police, Mani was summoned to the police station for questioning after a complaint was lodged over a theft of Rs 15,000 and some gold ornaments. One Vijayasena Reddy had filed the complaint on October 5.
Manis husband Ravi and her family members and local leaders accompanied her to the police station. The situation took a dramatic turn when Ravi, without warning slit his throat with a blade. Police say that Ravi was disturbed at the dishonor that his wife was suspected of theft. Ravi was rushed to MGM Hospital in a police patrol car where he is stated to be in a stable condition. Further investigations are on.
