Four held, 730 Kg ganja seized Visakhapatnam, Oct 28 (INN): Police on Thursday nabbed four persons for illegally possessing and transporting Ganja worth Rs 50 lakh at Vandanapalli village under Chintapalli police station limits. According to Inspector Tata Rao, the accused have been identified as Aguru Lakshman Rao (30), son of Kondaiah, Aguru Lakshman Rao (30), son of Sanyasaiah, Vanabangi Chinnabalanna (20), and Vudi Sreenu (30).
The accused were nabbed while loading the contraband by Sub-Inspector Surya Chandra Mouli who was on duty along with his staff. SI Chandra Mouli nabbed the accused and seized 32 bags of ganja, around 730 kg. The market value of the seized contraband is estimated to be around Rs 50 lakh. A case has been registered under section 21 (b) NDPS Act (The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985) against the four accused persons.
