Treasury official in ACB trap Karimnagar, Nov 16 (INN): Sub-treasure officer of Bheemadevarapalli mandal of Karimnagar district Banothu Jogiya was caught red handed by the officials of the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday when he demanded and accepted bribe from a person for doing an official favour.
According to ACB, Jogiya demanded Rs 3,000 as bribe to pass a cheque of Rs 3,43,876 pertaining to three months salaries of the employees of Gram Panchayath of Mulkanoor of Bheemadevarapalli (M) and for expenses towards electrical and bleaching powder.
The accused will be produced before the Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases in Hyderabad.
