Young Historians should focus to rewrite Prakasam history Ongole, November 23. Two day National Seminar on Early and Medieval History of Prakasam District inaugurated in ANU PG Center here on Saturday.
Speaking on the occassion ANU Vice Chancellor K. Viyanna Rao said that the level of research in the history section should be increased by researchers. Young Historians should focus on new interpretations and rewrite the history for the benefit of society.
Historians to suggest solutions to the present day issues by comparison with the past. In recent activity prakasam district which has been in the news for capital city but lost to vijayawada - guntur region. But in the past two places Konidena and Addanki served as the capital cities under the Telugu Cholas and Reddy kings respectively.
Chairing the seminar Dr. D. Venkateswara Reddy of ANU PG Center said the "we will shortly come out with the encyclopedia of prakasam district." People will be more interested in knowing about the political, cultural milieu, socio economic conditions and resources that are utilized on early dynasties.
Retired Prof of History B. David Raju said that Motupalli served as major seaport during the Kakatiya Dynasty. Another guest Dr. VV Subba Rao delivered his valuable speech about the past history of the prakasam district. Wife of vice chancellor prof Jyothi, M. Venkateswara Rao, Granite business man Badari Narayana delivered their words in the seminar.
More than 45 researchers are attended the seminar and submitted their research papers on the glorious past of the prakasam district. Teachers, Professors, Researchers, Students from different universities are participated in the seminar.
