Celebrate National Voter's day on January 25th: Bhanwarlal Ongole, December 4. Chief Election Commissioner of Andhra Pradesh Sri Bhanwarlal directed the district collectors to organise the special summary revision program on Summary revision, Election expenditure, EVM, Godown construction and PD accounts in a video conference on Thursday.
Special programmes will be organised for voter registration on two Sundays ' December 7 and14 ' at different places across the state. The BLO's should be available to collect the forms from morning 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on these days.
He asked the officials to celebrate the national voter's day on January 25th 2015 and also directed to organise massive campaign to all the eligible voters attaining the age of 18 years as on 1st of January every year to enrol their names by filling up their details in Form number-6 and submit it.
The applications which are registered through online should be verified before 20th of December. Voters can also apply for deletion of name or change of other details in the electoral roll in this period.
He said that Election Commission received more than 98,000 applications related to special summary revision. A massive campaign involving booth level agents of all recognized parties would be carried out so that no eligible person fails to get enrolled.
The Prakasam district collector G.S.R.K.R. Vijay Kumar said that, 'till now we received 18,900 applications under the Form 6,7,8,8A in Prakasam district.' The officials are working on these applications .
He said that they already submitted the Election expenditure details and utilization certificates to the Election Commission of India. A proposal of RS.1.44 crore already sent to the EC for the construction of EVM Godowns in the district.
Mr. Bhanwarlal asked the collector to send proposals after finalising the agency for the construction of godowns then he will issue orders to release funds for the construction.
The Prakasam district Joint Collector Prakash kumar, district Revenue Officer Khasim, Returning officers of the constituencies were present in the video conference.
