Bapuji calls for unity among pro-bifurcation groups Nellore, Nov 20 (INN): Telangana Freedom Fighters Association president Konda Laxman Bapuji on Sunday called upon the people who are in favour of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh to come under one common platform.
Flagging off a Sadbhavana Rally in Nellore district, the veteran freedom fighter said that those in favour of division of state should form a separate committee and agitate under the common platform.
He said that the division of state would be possible only through consultations.'The consensus can be reached over the division of state through consultation process only,' he said.
The veteran freedom fighter reiterated that the formation of smaller states would be possible with collective efforts of all leaders by setting aside their agenda and flags.
He said that the Sadbhavana Sadassu was held to restore the peaceful atmosphere in the state and help the government to take a speedy decision on Telangana state.
Earlier, in the round-table conference organized under the aegis of Andhra Pradesh Praja Samithi, many leaders across party lines shared their opinions on separate statehood.
Bapuji said he would visit New Delhi on November 22 to meet national leaders and urge them to raise the Telangana demand in the winter session of Parliament.
