TLCA Ugadi Celebrations on 12th at Ganesh Temple Flushing, New York: Telugu Literary and Cultural Association (TLCA) Ugadi Celebrations will be held on 12th April, Saturday evening at Ganesh Temple. TLCA President Sri Rao Voleti invited Telugu people in and around New York Metropolitan Area and neighboring New Jersey and Connecticut residents to come and enjoy the Ugadi program.
The program will start at 3 pm on Saturday.
Program includes the traditional Panchaanga Pathanam (fortune telling for the year to come), Literary and Cultural programs by well known artists from India and various places in the US.
Started in 1971 by a visionary group of idealists, The Telugu Literary and Cultural Association (TLCA) of New York is one of the earliest Indian Associations in North America and the first Telugu association. The TLCA was formed with the primary goal of promoting the Telugu Literary and Cultural Activities in the tristate area. Successive generations of Telugu children and adults have benefited from its tremendous success towards this goal, as can be seen by the vitality of its programs even 35 years later.
