Rebels set afire TDP nominees guest house HYDERABAD: TDP leaders who did not get party tickets continued their protests on Wednesday and attacked party offices in their respective Assembly segments in Seemandhra.
Party dissidents at Araku raided the party office and damaged furniture in protest against giving party ticket to Kumbha Ravibabu. Some of them attacked a private guest house owned by Ravibabu and set it on fire.
In a similar incident, supporters of TDP rebels in Palakol and Kovur Assembly segments staged a sit-in in front of a hotel at Tanuku in West Godavari district, in which TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu was camping on Wednesday. Naidu was touring the district as a part of his party's campaign.
Fourth List:
Meanwhile, the TDP leadership announced its fourth list of poll candidates in the wee hours of Wednesday.
Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu announced candidates for five Lok Sabha segments and 13 Assembly seats in Seemandhra in the latest list.
Naidu fielded Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, Ongole Congress MP who joined the TDP on Tuesday, for the same seat.
Other Lok Sabha candidates are: Gummadi Sandhya Rani (Araku), Kesineni Nani (Vijayawada), Sriram Malyadri (Bapatla) and BT Naidu (Kurnool).
