Modi's victory for sure and unstoppable: Naidu HYDERABAD: Claiming that his and Narendra Modi's is a winning combination, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu said none can stop the BJP leader from becoming the prime minister.
'From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, people are eager to see Narendra Modi occupy the top post to rid the country of corruption and to develop it on a par with USA and China,' he said.
Addressing public meetings jointly with BJP's prime ministerial candidate Modi and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan in Mahbubnagar and Hyderabad on Tuesday, Naidu sang paeans to the BJP's poll mascot Modi.
Stating that India needs the rule of Modi to eradicate corruption, 'which has been rampant during the 10-year rule of the Congress-led UPA', Naidu wanted the BJP to come to power at the Centre to make the country corruption-free.
The TDP chief tried to use the occasion to heap choicest of praises on the BJP's prime ministerial candidate. For instance, he said at Mahbubnagar, 'When I see the public here, it appears that the people came here as if to felicitate Modi after becoming prime minister.'
Alleging that the country had been ruined on all fronts in the past 10 years of Congress rule, the TDP boss said that only a leader like Modi could bring the country back on the development track and take it forward.
Naidu, who is known for his penchant for technology, said that if he had constructed Hitec City in Hyderabad and paved the way for the speedy growth of information technology sector in the city, Modi surpassed him in utilising the technology for the betterment of people.
'Modi is very well acquainted with modern technology. He is not only good at using IT for the welfare of people but also knows how to use 3D technology,' Naidu said.
The TDP chief, who has been banking on 'BC CM' slogan in Telangana to improve his party's electoral fortunes in the new state, tried to link this slogan with the candidature of Narendra Modi for the PM post, saying, 'If Modi becomes PM, he will be the first BC leader to occupy the coveted post. Similarly, if the BJP-TDP combine comes to power in Telangana, we will make a BC leader the first CM of the new state'.
Turning his attack on TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao, the TDP chief said Rao's family had amassed wealth in the guise of leading the T-movement. If the TRS was voted to power, Rao's family would ruin the new state, the TDP president warned.
