State gets 277 MW Power from Haryana Hyderabad, April 24 (INN): In response to the request letter addressed recently by Govt. of AP, at the behest of Governor ESL Narasimhan to the Central Government, the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India (GoI) has decided to allocate 276.83 MW of power to Andhra Pradesh from M/s. Aravali Power Company Pvt. Ltd., (APCPL), Jhajjar in Haryana.
The Communication in this regard has been received from GoI to Rajbhavan, Hyderabad today in which it is stated that Power utilities of State shall extend the power purchase agreement duly entering into commercial arrangements with M/s. APCPL, Jhajjar in Haryana. With this the total allocation from APCPL, Jhajjar to Andhra Pradesh would be 503 MW (existing 226.17 MW + extra allocation now 276.83 MW).
The Governor, who has recently reviewed the present power supply position with Chief Secretary Dr PK Mohanty and other senior officials, had directed the power utilities to put up all out efforts to provide satisfactory power supply to the maximum extent possible to the consumers during this summer months.
