GHMC to organize 'Haleem Festival' on July 11 Hyderabad, July 9 (INN): GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar on Wednesday informed that the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and Telangana Hotels Association (TGHA) will jointly organise a grand 'Haleem Festival' on July 11 from 5 PM to 1 AM at Shilparamam in view of ensuing Ramzan Festival to celebrate the festive mood in the holy month of Ramzan by the citizens of the twin cities of the GHMC.
The Commissioner said that under one umbrella and in the ambience of Shilparamam, Night Bazar various famous hoteliers like Pista House, Sarvy, Paradise, Astoria, Shah- Ghouse, etc., makers of Haleem delicacy will be participating in the festival and different delicious varieties of Haleem, Biryani, sweets, etc., can be enjoyed by the citizens at very nominal rates.
The Commissioner said that this festival has been organized in view of the weekend so that the employees of corporate sector and their families can come together to taste the delicacy and ambience.
Sufficient parking space, lighting, music would make the evening, a memorable event. The Commissioner has appealed to all the citizens of the twin cities to participate in the Haleem Festival and to make it a grand success.
The Commissioner said that Hyderabad is very famous for it cuisine such as Biryani and Haleem and this type of festival has not been organized earlier.
The Telangana Government has announced both the Ramzan and Bonalu festivals as a state function, Basing on the importance of the Government decision this festival is being organized for the convenience of all the citizens to take active part and to make this festival a grand success.
Telangana Hotels Association President Nagaraju, has thanked the Commissioner for joining hands and sharing his views and involving the officials of GHMC to make the programme a grand success.
