JNTU appeals against more engineering seats HYDERABAD: The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University of Hyderabad on Wednesday filed an appeal before the High Court challenging a single judge order directing the Eamcet convenor to notify and make admissions to the full intake capacity sanctioned by the All India Council for Technical Education in relation to the petitioner colleges for academic year 2014-15.
The JNTU submitted that the university has reduced the intake capacity of students proportionately to maintain teacher and student ratio. The decision was taken based on the inspection report of the university fact-finding committee, which found deficiencies in the colleges.
