KCR promises houses for IDH Colony residents Hyderabad, Sept 1 (INN): Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has directed the officials to start re-construction of 216 houses of IDH Colony on war footing basis.
Speaking to the residents during his visit to the IDH Colony on Monday evening, the Chief Minister requested the beneficiaries to vacate the 216 houses immediately as they are in highly dilapidated condition. He asked the officials to begin reconstruction from Tuesday onwards and complete the work within five months.
The IDH Colony comprises of 360 houses which were constructed in 11 blocks in (G+2) pattern in the year 1969. Of them, 144 houses in four blocks were reconstructed by APSHCL under VAMBAY.
KCR has announced the reconstruction of houses with all amenities like Vegetable market, Meat and Fish market, in integrated Colony at free of cost. He said five slums - IDH Colony, Ammuguda, S.C.Bose Nagar, Bhagath Singh Nagar and Parthiwada should be reconstructed in integrated colony with all facilities.
Excise Minister T Padma Rao, Sanathnagar MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Municipal Administration Department Principal Secretary SK Joshi, GHM Commissioner Somesh Kumar, local corporators and other senior officials were also present.
Earlier on Monday, Talasani had called on the Chief Minister along with the residents of IDH Colony to seek his intervention in reconstruction of houses which are in highly deplorable conditions.
