AP Govt to pay 20% of crop loan waiver amount Hyderabad, Nov 23 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister P Pullarao on Sunday announced that the State Government would deposit 20 per cent of the amount towards crop loan waiver scheme.
Speaking to media persons here, the minister said that the 20 per cent of the loan amount would deposited in the bank accounts of nearly 60 lakh farmers.
However, the amount would be deposited only after the Japan's visit of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
He said that the farmers owe nearly Rs 21,000 crore to the banks and therefore, it has been decided to waive off the crop loans on installment basis.
