TARA's grand Diwali Celebrations Telugu Association of Reading & Around (TARA), UK celebrated Diwali in a grand manner. Internationally renowned artists in different fields of arts - Music, Dance and Songs performed in the event and their skills mesmerised the audience. Audience had an opportunity to witness a blend of all South Indian talents ' Telugu, Tamil, Kannada & Malayalam, all in one place.
Venkat Para, TARA core committee member, has given welcome note to the audience and Deepa Shyam did the anchoring. The evening started with devotional songs and the keerthanas rendered by kids. Aravindha Rajeev, Ananya Chatterjee and Sri Vidhya students have impressed with Prayer Songs, Carnatic Songs, Keerthanas. Mahishasura Mardhini and Ashtalaxmi dances performed by Jyotsna Prakash students depicted the episode of rise and fall of king, Mahishasura.
Bharatanatyam & Mohiniattam performance by Ananya Chatterjee, Satya Vani Nuti, Santosh G Nair, Ranjitha Chowalloor and Shyama Sasidharan enthralled the audience.
Dr.Jyotsna Srikanth and her team's fusion musical performance brought the entire auditorium to its feet. Overall, it was a feast to ears and eyes and people were left spellbound with the way Dr.Jyotsna was playing the Violin. Several Indian film songs were rendered by Sahithya Hari and Sri Krishnan.
All performing kids were appreciated with medals and certificates, and each adult performer was honoured with flower bouquet & 'Thank You' note by TARA President .Lakshmi Maturu & TARA Secretary Ravikanth Vakada. Ravikanth and TARA core member Surya Prakash Bhallamudi expressed their happiness over the support the parents have given to the unique programme 'Mana Maata' aimed to teach Telugu language to kids.
Vote of thanks was delivered by TARA Treasurer Naveen Gurram. TARA members expressed their thanks to all the event sponsorers.
