AP Govt sanctions Rs 100 Cr for new police vehicles Hyderabad, Nov 26 (INN): The Andhra Pradesh Government on Wednesday gave its nod for the purchase of 2,422 new vehicles for the State Police Department and sanctioned Rs 100 crore for the same.
The new vehicles proposed to be purchased include 1,314 Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) of six different categories, 42 MMVs, 21 HMVs, 1000 MCs, six Interceptor Vehicles, two Water Tankers, 4 Tractors, two JCB 3DX, 25 T/Carrier, four Ambulances and one Fuel Tanker.
The new vehicles are being purchased to improve the mobility and visibility of Police in the State.
