Govt not serious on public issues: YSRCP Hyderabad, Dec 18 (INN): The YSR Congress party on Thursday alleged that the TDP Government was not serious on discussing the issues concerning people of Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to media persons at Assembly media point here, YSRCP MLAs Jyothula Nehru and Srikanth Reddy said that the YSRCP wanted the winter session of Assembly to continue for 10-15 days. However, the government agreed only for a five-day session.
They demanded that the government discuss the issues concerning State's new capital, land pooling for new capital, crop loan waiver, farmers' suicide, problems being faced by DWCRA groups, employees of IKP and Anganwadi Centres.
They said that the State Government employees were facing problems due to non-implementation of PRC recommendations and there should detailed discussion on the controversy surrounding use of Srisailam Dam.
The YSRCP MLAs said that the government should table a detailed statement on the State's revenues and expenditure since June this year. They also sought explanation on the use of Central funds.
Accusing the TDP Government of neglecting the real issues affecting the common man, they said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was running the government as a dictator.
They also objected to the signing of MoU with Singapore firms on the State's new capital. They said that the government did not take either the Assembly or opposition parties into confidence before taking important decisions.
They said that the YSR Congress party would raise these issues during the winter session of the Assembly.
