Jupally promises to eradicate unemployment Hyderabad, Dec 18 (INN): Jupally Krishna Rao assumed charge as the minister for Industries, Handlooms & Textiles and Sugar at the State Secretariat here on Thursday.
Speaking to media persons later, Jupally assured that the State Government would take measures to eradicate unemployment from Telangana through rapid industrialisation across the State.
He said while setting up of different industries would create employment, the educated unemployed youth would be encouraged to set up industries. He said a committee would be formed to monitor proper implementation of new industrial policy, which was recently announced by the government.
Jupally also assured that women would be made self-reliant through small-scale and cottage industries. Since women have no representation in the State Cabinet, the State Government would make extra efforts to ensure their development and growth.
He said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was highly concerned about women's development and their participation in the process of formation of 'Bangaru Telangana'.
The minister also announced that the State Government was planning to buy and market all the products being manufactured by handloom workers and weavers.
He said better marketing of these products would put an end to the incidents of suicide by handloom workers and weavers in the State.
Similarly, the government would act as a facilitator between the factories and sugarcane farmers to ensure that the latter gets better pricing for their output.
