Cyberabad police seize huge quantity of explosives Hyderabad, Jan 28 (INN): The Cyberabad Police on Wednesday conducted raid at a house in Hanuman Nagar in Rajendranagar police station limits and seized huge quantity of explosive substances.
The explosives seized by the SOT (West) Team of Cyberabad Police includes 1620 Detonators; 1350 Gelatine Sticks; 30 Kgs of Ammonia; four Compressor/Tractors; 20 connecting wire bundles and one Blasting Box. Six persons were also taken into custody for possessing the explosives. They are Guram Bakkaiah (41), Varikupalla Anjaiah (45); Gunja Venkataiah (45); Shivarathri Narsimha (45); Yedulla Narsimha Reddy (40) and Vijay (37).
On enquiry with the accused, the police learnt that one Yellaiah, resident of Manikonda, is the main accused and he dumped the above explosive substances in that house without having any valid license. He is absconding. The source of supply of the Explosive substances would be known only after his arrest, police said.
The six accused persons and seized material have been handed over to Rajendranagar Police for taking necessary action.
