Cong leaders meet Governor over land regularisation Hyderabad, Jan 29 (INN): A delegation of Telangana Congress leaders on Thursday called on Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan seeking action touts and brokers who are misleading the poor people in the name of land regularisation drive launched by the State Government.
The delegation comprised of former NDMA Vice-Chairman Marri Sashidhar Reddy, MLCs MS Prabhakar and Ranga Reddy, former MP M. Anjan Kumar Yadav and GHMC former Mayor Banda Kartika Reddy.
Speaking to media persons later, they said that they had requested the Governor to order a CB-CID probe against the brokers who were cheating the common people in the name of land regularisation drive.
They alleged that some brokers were collecting applications by promising free houses for the poor from the State Government. They said even unofficial forms were being sold to the people and an impression is being created that they are official.
The Congress leaders urged the Governor to direct Hyderabad District Collector to launch an awareness campaign to caution the people against the brokers.
