Danam slams T-Cong leaders for meeting Governor Hyderabad, Jan 29 (INN): Former minister Danam Nagender has strongly criticised TPCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah and accused him of promoting groupism in the Congress party.
Speaking to media persons here on Thursday, Danam said that a delegation of Congress leaders, led by former MLA Marri Sashidhar Reddy, called on Governor ESL Narasimhan over the issue of land regularisation.
He alleged that they neither consulted him on the issue nor informed him about their visit. He said he was totally ignored although he holds the post of President of Greater Hyderabad Congress.
Nagender said if Ponnala does not like him, then he could remove him from the post. However, he said he would not tolerate any insult. Accusing Ponnala of encouraging groupism in the Congress party, he said Sashidhar Reddy never got involved in any party matters so far.
But he became active in view of by-elections for Sanathnagar Assembly constituency. Stating that he would remain a loyal Congress worker, he said he was not ready to take any failures on his shoulders.
