KCR's proposal is a political tactic: Jeevan Reddy Deputy CLP leader in Assembly T Jeevan Reddy on Saturday alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's proposal to acquire the land of Osmania University for weaker section housing was aimed at diverting the attention of students from non-issue of job notification.
Speaking to media persons in Assembly premises here, Jeevan Reddy said that KCR knows well that the State Government could not directly acquire the land belonging to Osmania University. However, he deliberately made the announcement only to divert the attention of OU students who had launched agitation seeking notification to fill over one lakh jobs. He said that the Chief Minister has failed to fulfill the promise of providing jobs to the educated youth. Therefore, in order to cover up his failure, he gave a statement to provoke the students' community.
Jeevan Reddy also alleged that KCR's promise of providing KG to PG free education would remain a mirage. He said that the Chief Minister should implement the Right to Education Act (RTE) in Telangana State if he was really serious in providing free education to poor. He said 25% of seats would go to poor students in all corporation and private schools if the State Government decides to implement the Act.
