SCR RPF personnel apprehend five offenders Hyderabad, July 9 (INN): In last two days, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) of South Central Railway, apprehended five offenders in two separate incidents and handed over them to the Government Railway Police (GRP) for further action.
Rohit Ranjan, on 8th July was travelling in General compartment of Darbanga Express (Train No. 17008 Darbanga-Secunderabad). After passing Manchiryal Railway Station, some eunuchs came to him, created nuisance and started demanding money. Right away, Mr. Rohit Ranjan informed the same to Security Helpline Complaint of Secunderabad Division. On receiving the information the RPF and GRP personnel immediately attended the said train complaint on its arrival at Kazipet Railway Station and apprehended three eunuchs. They also recovered Rs 4,500 cash from them. GRP Kazipet registered a case and are investigating.
Yet in another case occurred at Vijayawada Railway Station pertaining to theft of passenger belongings, RPF personnel apprehended two thieves. Mr. M. Ganesh Kumar, while boarding Simhadri Express (Train No.17239 Guntur-Visakhapatnam) at Vijayawada Railway Station on 7th July an unknown person aged 20 yrs stolen his mobile phone from his trousers and ran away. On noticing the same the passenger shouted and tried to chase the offender but in vain. The offender then handed over the stolen mobile phone to a aged person of 60 yrs and tried to escape from the spot. In the meantime Sri B. Rama Krishna, the on duty RPF crime prevention department staff of Vijayawada apprehended both the offenders and handed over them to Govt. Railway Police, Vijayawada.
