Watch: Baahubali secrets video by SSR The special effects of Baahubali are amazing and match the level of any Hollywood film. The epic film involved a lot of complex computer-generated imagery (CGI) and VFX shots which comprise almost 90% of the movie. Simply put, about 4,500-5,000 VFX shots in 3 hours!
Many crucial scenes including Shivudu climbing rocks and running behind heroine were shot in VFX. The very integral sequence was mainly shot at Athirappilly Falls in Kerala, which was later converted into an absolute spectacle of a scene with CGI in almost every single shot.
Today SS Rajamouli had posted a video which provides glimpse of VFX work of Baahubali. He thanked Makuta team who worked for the film.
'A show reel of Vfx done by Makuta. They alone contributed to more than 50% of all Vfx work in baahubali. Thanks guys!!'' SSR tweeted.
Srinivas Mohan is the VFX supervisor for Baahubali and he has earlier worked with Rajamouli on the block-buster Eega.
