Manabadi inaugurated at California Silicon Andhra Manabadi Telugu classes were inaugurated at the conference hall of Folsom Goldridge school, California on 12th September. The program was launched in association with the Telugu Association of Greater Sacramento (TAGS).
Silicon Andhra Manabadi finance secretary Dheenababu Kondubatla speaking at the event said that the wish of Silicon Andhra to start Manabadi in California Sacramento was fulfilled with the help of TAGS. California University Davis campus professor Dr.Sivaji requested every one to support the initiative of TAGS to teach Telugu to the children.
Chief guest Dr.Vemuri Venkateswara Rao, professor from California university asked the NRI Telugu community to support the Telugu classes that are being conducted at campus level in California university Berkeley campus. He mentioned that a total of 400 thousand dollars were raised out of the target of 500 thousand dollars to support the Telugu classes in Berkeley campus and added that the classes can be made permanent by raising the remaining 100 thousand dollars. Responding to his call, Adi Lingam and Srinivasa Lingam instantly pledged 1,116 dollars as donation.
TAGS President Venkat Nagam, TAGS Chairman Vasu Kudipudi spoke at the event and requested the Telugu community to support the program.
