KCR condemns opposition for protest Hyderabad, Oct 7 (INN): Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has strongly condemned opposition parties for the protest that they launched against the State Government over the farmers' issue.
Speaking on the floor of Telangana State Legislative Assembly on Wednesday, KCR accused the opposition parties of levelling baseless allegations against the TRS Government. He said both Congress and TDP were responsible for the present condition of farm sector in Telangana. He said that the TRS came to power only 15 months ago while the State was ruled by Congress and TDP earlier. He said has been working hard to ensure overall development of the State. He said he was going into minute details of all the projects and sometimes has working till 3-4 AM in the night. He said all irrigation projects in the State would be target oriented.
The Chief Minister said it would take time to undo the injustices done to Telangana by previous regimes.
KCR ridiculed the demand of opposition parties for one-time clearance of crop loan waiver dues. He said there were 35 States in the country and no government would be able to clear Rs. 8,000 crore in a single take. He said that the farmers' issue was debated for several hours in the both the Houses and State Government has expressed its commitment to resolve the crisis. However, the opposition parties were not willing to debate and stalled the proceedings which led to their suspension for rest of the session. He also ridiculed the Rythu Bharosa Yatra launched by the Congress party.
