Telangana Assembly adjourned sine die Hyderabad, Oct 7 (INN): The monsoon session of Telangana State Legislative Assembly came to an end on Wednesday with Speaker S Madhusudan Chary adjourning the House sine die.
The session, which started on September 29, was originally proposed to continue till October 10. However, after the reply of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on short discussion on Welfare of Weaker Sections and Minorities, the Speaker announced the adjournment of House sine die.
The Speaker informed that the Assembly functioned for 30 hours and six minutes in seven working days of session. As many as 19 starred questions were orally answered and 70 supplementary questions were asked. A total of 26 speeches were delivered and five short discussions were held. Two Bills were also passed during the monsoon session.
Following is the party position in Assembly as on today: TRS - 65; Congress - 20; TDP - 15; MIM - 7; BJP - 5; YSRCP - 3; CPI - 1; CPM - 1; Independent - 1 and one nominated member.
