Telangana CS holds review of health department Hyderabad, Nov 27 (INN): Telangana Chief Secretary Dr. Rajiv Sharma has directed the officials to identify all the vacant posts in the Health Department across the State.
The Chief Secretary issued these directions during a review meeting with the senior officials of Health Department at the State Secretariat here on Friday. Principal Secretary of Health Department Rajiv Tiwari and officials of other departments, including Finance, were present in the review meeting.
Rajiv Sharma said that the complete list of vacant posts in the Health Department would be submitted to Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao to seek his approval to fill those posts. He also reviewed the functioning of Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences. It has been decided to establish a new lab, construct towers and make representation with the Centre for increase in PG seats.
The Chief Secretary asked the officials to send a report on establishment of medical colleges in all districts. He also advised them to begin activities of Telangana State Medical, Pharmacy and Dental Council.
Functioning of blood banks, health cards for employees and other relevant issues were also discussed during the meeting.
