Two held for attack on senior Congress leaders Hyderabad, Feb 3 (INN): Two activists of Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen were taken into custody by the Hyderabad Police on Wednesday in connection with attack on TPCC chief N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and Leader of Opposition Mohammed Ali Shabbir on Tuesday.
Based on a complaint lodged by Shabbir Ali, the Mir Chowk Police had registered a case against MIM President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi and two MIM activists - Syed Abdahu Kashaf and Abed Ali. They have booked under Sections 143, 323, 341, 427 and 506 R/w 149 IPC. According to sources, Kashaf and Abed surrendered in Kala Pather Police Station on Wednesday. They are likely to be produced before a court on Thursday.
