Jayaram Komati receives grand reception Jayaram Komati who was recently appointed as Special Representative to Government of AP for North America, got grand welcome in Bay Area by Telugu Community.
Over 200 members of NRI TDP, Bay Area Telugu Association (BATA) and TANA went to San Francisco Airport in large numbers and received him with warm welcome of bouquets and garlands at the airport. They all brought him to Hotel Swagat in a rally of over 150 cars where he was received by priests with 'Poornakumbham' and auspicious chants.
In the evening at 7pm, NRI TDP arranged Meet and Greet programme at Swagat Restaurant, where in lot of friends and well-wishers of JayaRam attended and congratulated him. The common thread amongst all the speakers was the special bond and friendship they all have with Jayaram. They talked about his affable, endearing personality and his ability to blend and form friendships across all age groups.
Laxmi Devineni, New Jersey congratulated Jayaram and said that this appointment was late by 2 years. Dr.Naren Kodali, Washington DC said that Jayaram is the right choice made by CM Chandra Babu Naidu. Jay Pee Vegendla, IT Entrepreneur from Bay Area thanked Kalpana Komati for allowing Jayaram for public service in his family time and business time. Venkat Koganti, NRI TDP said that now the bridge between NRI community and mother land 'AP is created by way of Jayaram, and thanked Chandrababu Naidu for the same. Sateesh Vemuri, Regional Representative for TANA West coast said that TANA would support the activities taken up by Jayaram for community development in North America. Veeru Vuppala, Adviser- BATA explained the friendly personality of Jayaram with his 15 years association.
Speaking at the occasion, Jayaram thanked AP Chief Minister N. Chandra Babu Naidu, for entrusting this very important task, feels it as a responsibility rather than a position. He said it is a major milestone for all the NRI Telugu's in North America who are always supporting Andhra Pradesh in general and TDP in particular. Jayaram also said that his main focus would be to act as Liaison person between the Telugu Community and Govt of A.P and he would do his best. He also stressed the need for NRIs to respond appropriately to various projects and proposals under taken for building the world class capital- Amaravati and other schemes like smart village initiative etc.
Jayaram also informed that the Govt has taken up various initiatives to address the issues commonly faced by NRI-Telugu's and recently started a new portal http://www.apnrt.com under the leadership of Ravi Vemuri.
