Govt crafting scams by re-designing projects: Uttam Hyderabad, March 21 (INN): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Monday alleged that the TRS Government was engineering huge scams in the name of re-designing of irrigation projects.

Uttam Kumar Reddy also accused Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao of issuing contradictory statements on the issue. "While speaking in the Assembly, KCR has clearly stated that no decision was taken on the height of Tummidi-Hatti. However, Harish Rao gave a statement confirming that the height of 148 Metres. This contradiction is deliberate and aimed at misleading the people," he said.
The TPCC Chief also referred to some media reports which claimed that the Telangana and Maharashtra officials have finalised the height of Tummidi-Hatti at 148 Metres and Medigadda at 100 Metres. He alleged that the height was reduced from 152 Metres to 148 Metres only to benefit Maharashtra and prevent submergence of its village. "This deal is completely against the interest of Telangana State. The Congress party will not tolerate such injustices with Telangana and would wage a massive battle against it," he said
