Pawan Kalyan Issues Tweet Warning To BJP Union minister of state for home affairs HP Chaudhary on Friday created sensation with his comments on special status to AP. He said that AP does not need special category status as the Centre has been fulfilling all other promises listed in the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014.
In his reply to the debate on private member's bill in the Rajya Sabha, Chaudhary said the 14th Finance Commission had not recommended special category status to any state in the country. He said the Centre is committed to fulfilling its financial commitment to AP.
The political repercussions of the statement already began in AP. An angry AP chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu accused the Centre of adopting 'indifferent attitude' towards the bifurcated state.Janasena President Pawan Kalyan also joined and he issued a soft warning to BJP via his Twitter account.
Pawan Kalyan has broken his silence to demand that the BJP government at the centre keep its promise of granting special status to post-bifurcation Andhra Pradesh.He went on to say Seema Andhra People did not and will never forget how the state bifurcation bill is passed in the Parliament by pushing out Seemandhra MPs. He called for all the MPs across party lines to fight for special status.
