VHR to hold dharna for quota in pvt sector Hyderabad, April 30 (INN): Rajya Sabha MP V. Hanumantha Rao on Saturday informed that he was organising a dharna at Jantar Mantar ini New Delhi on May 5 seeking reservation for SC, ST, BCs, OBCs and minorities in judiciary and private sector.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here, VHR said that the dharna was aimed at building pressure on the Central and State Governments to introduce reservation system in private sectors. He also alleged that the recommendations of Mandal Commission were not being implemented properly.
VHR said that several NGOs and like-minded organisations and individuals have been invited to participate in the dharna. He also accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of not working the welfare of poor. Instead, he alleged that the Prime Minister was benefitting only corporate sector and acting like its brand ambassador.
