AP to use services of clinical specialists Vijayawada, July 26 (INN): Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that the State Cabinet has decided to appoint clinical specialists in government hospitals to improve medical facilities to poor.
He said the specialists can opt for voluntary service or honorarium. The state government will enter into an MoU with Health Association of India for clinical specialist services.
Giving details of cabinet decisions, the Chief Minister said that the decision of state cabinet would provide a ventilation for specialist services in government hospitals. He said the specialists would be encouraged to offer voluntary service in government hospitals in temple towns including Tirupati and after serving for three days special darsan would be provided.
The Chief Minister said that the system is first of its kind in the country. He said Bill Gates foundation came forward to offer best practices and technology in health sector in the state. He said that the cabinet decided to increase commission to fair price shop dealers from RS 20 to Rs 70 per quintal. The state government has to bear additional burden of Rs. 77,44 Crore with the increase in commission. He said the government decided to take the decision for public satisfaction by improving the functioning of fair price shops. He said door delivery would be introduced for disabled persons from FP shops.
Naidu said that the cabinet also decided to allot several works under Krishna pushkaram. He said that the cabinet decided to allot lands for various institutions including APIIC in the state.
He said everyone should participate in Vanam Manam programme to be launched on July 29 to plant one crore saplings on the same day. He said that by organising Krishna Pushkarams in a big way, the government is planning to highlight the importance of river linking.
Government advisor Dr Parakala Prabhakar and Minister for Information and Public relations Palle Raghunatha Reddy are also present.
