Water security to people soon: AP CM Vijayawada, July 26 (INN): Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has said society of innovation for Andhra Pradesh would be developed to replicate innovation practices of all sectors in the state. He said an innovation officer would be appointed for each district. He stressed the need for commercialisation of knowledge by developing incubation centres in all districts and start up companies.
Addressing secretaries and Heads of Departments in Vijayawada on Tuesday, the Chief Minister said that students should be involved in large number in Krishna Pushkarams to bring awareness among people on the linking of Krishna and Godavari rivers. He said a dolphin statue would be set up at the confluence of rivers at Ferry village namely Pavitra Sangamam and exhibit the government plans of linking of the rivers and water tanks and streams in the state to make the state as a drought-free state.
The Chief Minister said that Krishna Pushkarams should be used as a platform for discussion on Krishna-Godavari river linking in villages to instill spirit of pavitra sangamam. He said during the 12 day river festival debates will be conducted on one subject each including on river linking, Amaravti capital, Vanam-manam, Agriculture, Agriculture allied sectors, Education, skill development, Health, Swatch Andhra Pradesh, Industries,double digit growth and internet of things.
Explaining the arrangements of Krishna Pushkarams, the officials said a command control room would be set up to monitor the situation on all the ghats in the state. They said the mobile companies came forward to arrange 20 cell on wheels (COW) centres to meet the mobile traffic with excess load during Krishna pushkaram. They said the IIIT students developed an app for crowd source analytics.
The officials said six satellite railway stations were developed and free city services will be operated from the railway stations to pushkar ghats.
In-charge DGP N Sambasiva Rao said that long distance traffic would be diverted in Hyderabad and Chennai route for the convenience of pilgrims. He said 139 parking places were identified in all the three districts to prevent traffic jams during pushkaram.
Assuring water security to farmers, the Chief Minister said that acqua culture should be encouraged. He said water sports, tourism and inland water transport should be improved to attract tourists.
Stating that technology and Internet of things is a deadly combination, the Chief Minister said everyone should use technology for better results.
Earlier discussing on Vanam Manam programme, the chief Minister said technology should be used to improve green cover in the state. He said the officials should adopt tree transplantation technology from China to prevent cutting of trees during road widening and laying power lines. He said a tree bank should be developed.
The Chief Minister said plantation programme should be encouraged in all the important temples in the state and the people should come forward to plant saplings according to their Janma Nakshatra. He said the plantation programme should be promoted through social media.
He said students should be involved in a large number and stressed the need for activating the student groups to develop kitchen gardens in their respective schools. He said inter departmental coordination is important for the success of one crore plantation programme on July 29 as part of Vanam Manam programme. He said that individuals and institutions should be motivated to take up plantation programme. He said that plants should be geo tagged and geo fenced for their protection.
The Chief Minister also discussed with officials on progress of internet of things, NREGS, smart pulse survey, Anganwadi services and industrial development.
