APCC leaders meet Manmohan Singh Hyderabad, Sept 24 (INN): A delegation of Andhra Pradesh Congress leaders on Saturday met former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh in New Delhi to discuss the issue of special category status to AP ahead of the referendum planned by the party in the state from September 28.
Speaking to the media, APCC president Dr. N. Raghuveera Reddy said that Dr Manohan Singh has expressed his displeasure over dishonoring of the commitment made on the special status for the state during the UPA rule. He alleged that TDP and BJP have belittled the special status issue. The APCC has planned to conduct a referendum on the special status issue from September 28 from Tirupati.
Rajya Sabha MP KVP Ramachandra Rao, Congress leader JD Seelam and other leaders were also present. They said that the former PM had expressed his full support to party and the state for the SCS.
