Centre releases Rs 170 crore for Devadula Hyderabad, Dec 8 (INN): The Union Government on Thursday released Rs 170.5 crore for the Devadula project in the state.
The said fund has been released under the Centre's Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY). The state government has taken up the construction of various irrigation projects at a brisk pace to provide irrigation to one crore acres of land.
The Centre had so far released Rs 300 crore to the project in the first phase and had promised to release Rs 300 crore in the second phase. The state government has sought Rs 2,000 crore to complete the project.
